Our member,  George Myers has provided several pages of research on this line.  One remaining question is Marie Louise Duhamel the same person as the Louisa Germaine on some family records?

Ans #152         Lester/Leicester PRATT was born c1838  Middlebury, VT  s/o Charles F. & 1st wife, Harriett??.   His marr. record shows he was from Berkshire, VT with marr. at Coventry, VT 23 Oct 1866 age 28 farmer; to Angeline CARON b. Derby, VT.  Lester & Angeline (Carreau/Carrow) named in two marriages of their sons,  Frank Ezeb b. c1870 Newport, VT & Joseph b. c1875?.  Another unnamed child recorded 25 Nov 1869  at Coventry.

Ans #363 (partial): Query  Stephen Gokey - from family lore  recorded by my grandfather Edgar P. Akey c1930s told by his father-in-law John Baptist Gokey and Charles Cyrus Gokey both siblings of Stephen Alexander Gokey. -  Stephen Alexander Gokey b. Johnson VT Tue Sept.13, 1853, d. Walden NY Oct 19,1905, was one of 14 ch. -8 girls and 6 boys. No date or place of marr. recorded. Par. Charles Gokey b. 1812 Verreau PQ (underlined was unsure of loc. perhaps Varennes?) d. Dec 28 1898 age 87 (prob. in Milton VT) Entered seminary. Left to enter clothing business. Became involved with Papineau and fled Quebec. Took US Citizenship while a resident of Milton. Married Sat Aug 14, 1841 place not recorded but possibly Milton Eliza Myers Mitchell b. Dec. 23 1822 St. Gregoire, PQ d. Mar 2, 1869 place not recorded. (Prev. marr. to Amale Mitchell date and place not recorded. One ch. Harriett Mitchell b. Nov. 13 1839.) Marr. Charles Gokey Aug 14, 1841.  Par. Charles Gokey reputedly born in South of France.  Arrived Canada about 1800. Became farmer in Verreau (?) d. about1853. One son Charles and one dau. who marr. and d. in Montreal in 1840s leaving 7 ch. all daughters. No other info. No information on spouse. May have come to Canada as soldier.

John B. Myers b. Mar 4, Switzerland d. Apr 19, 1851 Milton VT Soldier with Napoleon, captured by British. Changed sides. Came to North America. Took part in Battle of Plattsburgh. Discharged in North America.

Mary M. LaBounty (perhaps LaBonte) b. St Mary (?) PQ Mar 11, 1790 d. Jun 7, 1860 Johnson VT D. and place of marriage not recorded. One other child-Louisa Myers b. May 24, 1837 in St. Cesaire PQ

There are quite a few more entries. I would be happy to photocopy. No information on name change. Most entries anglicized.
