seek desc. of Marie Rosalie TERRIEN who marr. Etienne PAPILLON 21 Jun 1806 St. Ours, QUE; a son, Etienne (b. 1810) moved to U.S. early 1800s & became known as Stephen FLAGG.  He died W.Brookfield, MA. 15 Jun 1879. Other sons of Marie Rosalie were Francois (DOB unk);  Antoine who marr. 1832 at St Ours to Marie Victoire Salois.  Was Andrew Papillon dit Flagg also a son of Marie Rosalie?.       (Richard Brown  c/o VFCGS  Attn Leo Fleury)

seek info. on Antoine CLINE who came from QUE. c1825  settled in Fairfax, Vt. area.  Also Mitchell Cline (a son of Antoine??) came at that time to Brandon then Burlington, VT. Both had French Canadian wives.  Seek death & burial info. on Mitchell c1860-70s; Antoine d. bet. 1850-60 & his wife, M. Catherine ___, & children were in Wisconsin by 1860.

seek info on ancestors & desc. of Antoine BUSHEY (Busier?) who settled in Brome, QUE.  There seems to be five generations of Antoines which makes research confusing. Antoine #3  marr. Mary Ann __ & came to Charlotte, VT c1832 with 5 or 6 children & had more in VT.

We have received charts etc.  from the first  generation in New France of Olivier Quesnel, who at 24 came from St. Malo, Normandie, France.  He marr. 15 (ct 14) Jan 1680 at Notre Dame, Montreal, to Catherine Prud’homme (d/o Louis & Torberte Gadois). They had 12 children (8 sons & 4 daugs).

Descending charts from Louis du Quesnel  appears in Vermont in the 9th generation at Bristol, Middlebury, Bridport, Rutland, & Burlington, VT.

JEWISH  INDEX OF BURLINGTON

The Fletcher Free Library of Burlington has given us a copy of this 27pp index, which was compiled by their volunteer, Sybila Watts Smith.  This index was compiled from the book done by Myron Samuelson in 1976 “THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF BURLINGTON, VT. that covered from the early days to 1946 with much about the Jewish community in the State.
