LOCALITIES IN VERMONT
Vermont
Agency of Administration
Public
Records Division
Montpelier, Vermont
This list of Vermont localities was compiled from the Appendix to Deming's Catalogue of Vermont Officers printed in 1852, Index to the Papers of the Surveyors-General published by the Secretary of State in 1918, Vermont Municipalities, An Index to their Charters and Special Acts published by the Secretary of State in 1986, 1986 Vermont Year Book published by The National Survey, Vermont state map and town maps published by the Vermont State Agency of Transportation and information supplied by local people. This compilation is not necessarily accurate or complete. In most cases localities with East, South, West, North, Center, etc. in their names have not been included unless they are one of the recognized 246 municipalities of the state. Sections of some towns such as Pumpkin Hill in Danville and Mosquitoville in Barnet were not included unless they appeared on the town maps. If you have such areas in your municipality we would be interested in learning their names. Also if you discover errors in this list we would like to know the correct information.
